The CRM for shops that build custom.
Spec-aware quoting, version-tracked drawings, and a production handoff that doesn't force your shop into someone else's workflow. We're building it now — more is coming soon.
What is Modustra IQ?
Modustra IQ is a CRM with light ERP functionality built for custom manufacturers: the fabricators, machine shops, machine builders, and engineering firms that sell catalogue products, customised versions of them, engineering services, and fully custom builds, often on the same quote. It runs in the browser, is priced in Canadian dollars from $0 a month, and integrates with QuickBooks.
Quoting sits at the centre. A quote is built from a costed bill of materials and labour, with currency, margin, and quantity price breaks inside it, and the revision it was priced from stays attached. From there the same record becomes an order, a build on the shop floor, and an invoice, without anything being typed twice.
What's inside
CRM
Leads, customers, contacts, quotes, orders, and sales history in one system, with a dashboard that shows open value, late and at-risk orders, and sales against target.
Margin Calculator
Import a bill of materials, cost it with parts and labour, set the margin, and see selling price and margin at every quantity break, in CAD or USD.
Revision & Drawing Control
Drawings, PDFs, and STEP models attached to the revision they belong to, with a built-in 3D viewer and a price snapshot on every save.
Production
One build per order line, tracked through phases you define, with material requisitions, a BOM explorer, and inventory behind it.
ERP
Quote to order, order to invoice, invoice to QuickBooks, with partial invoicing, customer documents, returns, and credits.
Who it's for
Modustra IQ is for small and mid-sized manufacturers whose quoting still lives in spreadsheets: custom machine builders, fabricators and machine shops, power-electronics and control-panel builders, and engineering firms that sell design work alongside the hardware. If a sale at your company starts with a bill of materials and a drawing rather than a price list, it was built for you. Rather than replace a full ERP with a general ledger, it hands accounting to QuickBooks and keeps the rest.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Modustra IQ?
- Modustra IQ is a web-based CRM with light ERP functionality for custom manufacturers. It covers leads and customers, BOM-based quoting with margin and currency, revision and drawing control, production tracking, order entry, invoicing, returns and credits, and QuickBooks integration.

- Is Modustra IQ a CRM or an ERP?
